Online payment: a key step to finalize the purchase

Updating our online payment system

In order to secure the purchase on our platform of online ticketing, we designed our mini-sites so that they are as secure and reassuring as possible for your participants. The customer journey is entirely marked out from the choice of the ticket, the purchase and the receipt of the ticket. In addition to the SSL certification (which allows you to display a padlock in the navigation bar), we use the new 3D-Secure V2 system to secure your payments.

But sometimes it happens that the online payment is not successful and we explain to you why!

Reminder:

For the purchase to be finalized, a Authorization from your bank is requested.

Two scenarios are possible to validate your payment:

  • Your bank's application

If you have a smartphone, you will receive a notification from your bank. Simply click on the notification to be automatically redirected to the mobile application. Then, enter the secret code previously defined to validate the operation.

  • A code received by SMS

Second option, you receive a single-use code sent by SMS. Simply enter the code to validate the transaction.

Why is the online payment not successful?

One out of ten online payments don't go through”. Indeed, payment is not made in one click, the information is first transmitted to your bank, which sends it back to a payment provider, in our case Payzen, then at the Merchant's bank And finally, to theThe company that manages your credit card, MasterCard for example. These three actors must “meet” each other to sign a virtual contract to authorize payment. When the three intermediaries cannot “find each other” due to technical problems an error message appears and as a result the online payment is not successful.

The new 3D-Secure

Since January 1, 2021, the system 3D-Secure Version 2 will become mandatory for all by April 2021, in Europe. From now on, when you make an online purchase using your bank card, you will have to verify your identity with a code, but also with your fingerprint or facial recognition. Today, our platforms are equipped with the new 3D-Secure V2. This new program fluidifies and facilitates the user journey and thus reinforces the security of transactions.
